Plaster, ribs of a newborn lamb, peephole
2012
Exhale is a mold, a replica of human body. It is a reprise of my own body, but during the process it has distorted and adopted its own shape. By looking through the peephole another dimension opens, revealing the fragile and delicate rib bones inside.
The piece is a study of how our body breaks down when confronted with emotional pain, and how also constant physical pain can make the mind fall apart.
